Connections welcomes clients of all races, genders, sexualities, erotic orientations, spiritual beliefs and all relational models (e.g., monogamous, non-monogamous, polyamorous) and specializes in serving the LGBTQIA+ community.

Connections recognizes sexuality is essential to the human experience throughout the lifespan and specializes in working with adults 18 years of age and older.

We strive to provide clients with a clinical practice that is informed by the most recent research and evidence. About Dr. Carlson


Dr. Carlson received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Dakota in 2005. She earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology (American Psychological Association-accredited) from Indiana University in 2015. She also completed a doctoral minor through the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction at Indiana University.

 
 

Currently Connecting Virtually


We take your health and safety seriously.

We are committed to providing our clients with a comfortable, therapeutic environment for addressing your intimate relationships and sexual health concerns. To keep our clients safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the decision to provide our services via Telehealth sessions through HIPAA compliant video platforms for the foreseeable future.

Doctor Carlson is licensed and authorized under the authority of PSYPACT in all participating states. Click here to view the current PSYPACT map and enacted states.

Where we provide in-person services.

In addition to Telepsychology, Dr. Carlson is licensed to provide in-person Psychology services in Louisiana and Texas allowing her to support patients statewide.

Currently, we are offering both in-person and telehealth services.
